ABOUT
Mad Dogs and Englishmen was founded in 1991 by Wilton Morley and Colonel Rick Craig. Wilton's father, Robert Morley, and his grandmother, Dame Gladys Cooper, were British character actors who between them appeared in over a hundred plays and films. His grandfather, Herbert Buckmaster, founded Bucks Club (1919 -) in the heart of Mayfair. Wilton has the distinction of giving Russell Crowe his first two jobs in the theatre during a checkered career as a theatrical producer in Australia during the 70's and 80's. Colonel Craig wishes it known that he is still not related to anyone remotely famous.
Mad Dogs and Englishmen is now honored to become part of Oxford Commons Hospitality Company. It remains dedicated to Excellence, Eccentricity and Empire. Blake, Allison, Wilton, and the Colonel look forward to sharing the best of Britain with the best of
South Tampa in their new home at 4914 South MacDill Avenue.
